Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

Poor performance culture

DXC promotes a poor performance culture.
If you do a great job there is no benefit to you. That then encourages the person to either leave or wind down their performance.
The poor performer only has to avoid a poor 3 rating. Just do enough... They will never leave.
You are left with a pool of poor performers..

I’m more worried about my side hustle finding out that I still “work here

It feels like there’s a hugh a disconnect at the moment. The view from leadership seems to be that everyone is busy and delivering well, but that doesn’t match what I’m seeing and doing day to day.

From where I’m sitting, there are long stretches where there’s very little meaningful work happening. And when something does come up, it can be difficult to get momentum—tasks take way longer than they reasonably should. Dragged out as long as possible as that's all there is to do.

DXC UK cannot hide from due diligence or a customer's previous experience.
Repeat business is not won anymore. Everyone knows this can't continue for too long.

Sad things is execs keep believing they can simply name the company culture and that makes it true. This company has no real culture. It’s a mess and not distinguishable. Culture is something that comes from consistency,
and that consistency establishes norms that reinforce and result in what you would call a culture. None of that is going on here.

@ap+1kmmyva68 Kate Anall-sley she's the biggest prat in HR, thinks she's a hard nosed Geordie, but she's just sly.

I wouldn't say "poor". Rather mediocre, minimum. Just do your job. For me it is fine. In previous companies I worked for, poor performance resulted in micromanagement, PIPs etc, while good performance - in additional tasks. Here I may not see raise ever, I may never receive help from level two/three who does not really know what they are talking about but at least I have peaceful environment and no one bothers me too much. It is what it is.

There are some desparados, mainly middle managers who are past it, so they log in out of hours or make out they are doing more than 7.5 hours a day. What for? For the love of DXC ha ha everyone is laughing at you, your a saddo who doesn't have a life. Apparently stabber Kate Anall-sley makes out she's on the job more than 7.5 hours a day. Get a life.

No possibility of a reward for going above and beyond means no one in their right mind should do anything more than the job they are paid for. Turn up, do the official hours & work required and leave on time - nothing more. Remember, treat the company like they treat you. I don't see this as poor performance but the performance required for the reward waiting.

Just do what everyone else does and get a side hustle and spend most of your time moaning on here too.

The poor performers are only poor performers because they know they won't get any reward for that extra effort. We all watch colleagues who are totally useless carry on laughing, messing things up and handing it over to someone else to undo, yet still getting the same reward as we all do. Some of them even earn more! It doesn't encourage anyone to want to even try!
