Why no WARN notice filed for Chevron layoffs?
@b4 1400. And only 800 in Houston. So this is about 75% of the tower.
@bx they’re laying off 70 in the Bakken out of roughly 300. I’m guessing to squeeze in some of their own people.
EOI is expressing interest for an “Involuntary layoff” The EOI will be included in that number.
I imagine they're keeping all the people working on Williston basin stuff. There's not many people at Chevron that has knowledge of that basin though there are a few. I wonder how people may get moved around to integrate them? Or are we just going to sell off the Williston stuff?
You wish lololol
@ax Is this a guess or are you privy to integration info?
@b6 so this number would be purely those severed and not EOI?
Brutal.
Only 822 Hess employees in Houston. Terminating about 70% of Hess.
@b4 And just under 1,000 are in Hess Tower, subject to this notice.
@b1 Employers are only required to report involuntary job losses in WARN notices.
HESS only has about 1800 employees, so this is a huge percent laid off.
@ax why would that number not include EOI?
@aj This is the legacy Hess event. 575 plus those who volunteered for severance. Those who remain will mostly be working the Guyana asset or in a temporary, transition role until the end of the year.
Report implying the 2 are connected. Legacy Hess reductions will be a different event.
