I've lost count of how many layoff rounds I've seen. They just keep coming. There's no finish line, no moment where they say okay we're done. It's constant. The cuts keep coming and we're just supposed to be okay with it? We're supposed to keep on working like everything's fine? How did we get here?

@ej If all you can manage in your head is blaming boomers, it is a surprise that you are still employed.
@ej
One thing I could absolutely promise you, if you knew my life, you would trade yours for mine.
@bw f you boomer I bet your kids don’t even like you if this is how you raised them. Bet they never call you either
@OP I have your answer to your last question.... Yes, you're expected to keep working and doing your job.
I work my day and toss the mouse to the desk at the end and get on with my life. It'll ki-l you ONLY if you let it.
Toughen up
@OP when did they ever say they were done? This is a multi year plan to offshore 70 percent. Done, not even close
@aq it’s 1000% Optum!!! They have been doing quarterly layoffs for years and years and years! They do just enough, not too many at a time to avoid WARN.
They just want everyone to live healthier lives, duh. Who at Optum actually feels healthy? I’ve been stressed out since I decided to join this stupid a-s company.
I have a feeling all 3 comments before mine are the same person. It’s weird.
@OP New to life? Yes, keep working until you find something better. This is in no way unique to you or Optum.
Welcome to the new Corporate America. It's happening everywhere. Not just Optum.
Welcome to Optum. That has been our business culture since 2017 at least. The entire company model is that new grads or laterals come here for the resume shine and leave within a year.
