@pr Laid off this year (EMEA). 3 months notice (received normal salaries plus benefits) doing nothing. Thereafter getting 8 month salaries...

I was laid off in Europe last time when they had a layoff this year, and I had a 1 month notice period. It depends on how you long you have worked in Oracle though, some of the older folks have 3 months notice. This is the minimum required by law.
The way they solved the labor laws was that I resigned voluntarily, and I got compensated for it with some months of pay for doing nothing.

September 2nd is what I heard for another unit in Europe, so could likely be the same. There is a 2 month notice period

They have strict labor laws. So it will take time.
