Chevron HR working OT damage control. They can go blow Mikey when their finished.
If you shared that article with MN, he wouldn’t even understand it.
@hg funny thing is that the RTC had a ton of these types of initiatives, and then MN shut them all down and laid off all the scientists doing breakthrough work. He saw no value in downstream even though he made his living in the downstream.
Now he’s come to micromanage the upstream with zero knowledge of it.
No surprise that XOM has a consistent pattern of breakthroughs. Leadership and quality people make it happen.
@bg why? The stock buybacks have not increased the stock value. As a shareholder, you have destroyed value by staying with a stock not moving, or declining for the last 4 years. This is despite the dividends and buybacks. I do not get it. We should be investing in the future and if you have no options for your money, us shareholders would have been way better off if MW and the BOD invested cash flow in the S&P 500, or Miami Real Estate, or gold, or AI stocks, etc. Makes no sense to me.
@bv sticking up for your girlfriend MW. Admirable.
@bv You’re obsessed with people wasting time while WFH. Today is Tuesday and most are in the office. Do we need to ask permission to read industry news?
Do CVX employees have any gossip of their own to waste time with during WFH hours or do they always have to concern themselves with other company's gossip to fill their idle time, which seems to be infinite?
As a stockholder, I am for dividends and buybacks. BTW, the company is growing again unlike when GK was (over)spending on much higher capex budgets.
Mikey is still looking for the methane dividend from his methane digestors.
His strategy is small incremental investments in West Texas and spending the cash flow GK and JW created on dividends and share buybacks. Very clear strategy. Very bad strategy, but the strategy is very clear.
