Thread regarding T-Mobile layoffs

When will they pull the plug on Micro?

Those of us in micro TFB know that what they with segments and having the best areas not assisgned is not working. How long does it take for the upper levels to realize this in either lay us all off or merge us back with SMB so we can actually sell again?

Yes - my new hire class had 50 to start. We are down to 15 in little over a year.

My direct team has three people on loa out of 6. My leader leaves his spot that he just took in micro to go back to solo contributor

Anyone else having team members leave left and right? This was upper managements goal. Create a sh-tshow and force people’s hands.

Love how they are trying to justify accountability by having us go through these “team builders” with role plays saying that they have provided us the tools to be successful. The hammer is about to come down on very successful people who were put in this very bad situation by upper leadership. It’s very sad to see. These id10ts should be the ones begging for their jobs, not the frontline.

@bs sounds like you are in an upper leadership role. I’m sure the pressure is coming down on you from the CEO who is also clueless on tfb.

Just remember what goes around … comes around. You’ll be looking for a new job in no time. Blaming the front line for upper leaderships colossal of f- ups won’t save you.

@bs What’s up, upper management? How’s that boot taste?

@bs Execution isn’t the issue — we’re doing the job every day. Ignoring structural problems and calling it “complaining” doesn’t fix what’s clearly not working. If Micro is going to sustain itself, leadership needs to own the decisions that are hurting it.

As a Micro AE, I completely agree. There appears to be a significant disconnect between the decision-makers and those of us on the front line. The decision to remove retail and segment Micro and SMB feels misaligned with the realities we’re seeing in the field and has created a poor environment. Every AE I know is either looking to get out of micro and into SMB or looking elsewhere. They should just pull the plug already.

Less complaining and more doing something with the job you've been tasked with would be a good start to ensuring micro sustains itself.

@OP I left T-Mobile because of this move and I assume their plan was for many of us to leave to save on severence payouts.
