Work in chandler office. Controllers were hit today. Manager told me it’s across all controllers and most likely other functions. It is what it is… good luck to everyone
@ncm+1rCNSwGf if you’re not comfortable saying which roles in tech, can you say who they roll up to?

Technology at San Francisco got hit today.
One guy in power, is very old cannot comprehend anything and another guy trying come to power is completely broke with ton of lawsuits to deal with ( probably busy in his lifetime) . We are okay with both of them thinking they are going help. Companies can use this opportunity to do anything they want. Walmart started shipping expired items and see if i don't return or not looking at the expiry date. Because they now i am laid off and busy looking for the new job. Insurance companies busy tweaking their rating engine to extract more premiums and deny claims. Local and state representatives busy look for their hike in salary or lobbying for the same. What else going ...

@mqz+1rCNSwGf, no one is safe - hub or not. WF has multiple displacement streams - location, efficiency, off-shoring etc. Just because you're in a safe group for one stream does not mean you're in the clear for another. Listen to the disclaimers that the managers read when talking about location strategy - those are very intentionally worded.
Recruiting teams In Charlotte was impacted from what I’ve heard

And even there it will be further defined. I am in tech and while California might be a Core Location for Tech, in my group within tech California is not a Core location. Instead St Louis is a Core location for us, but that location is considered specialty for rest of tech.

I think it’s more than just if a location is a hub or not, the LOB has to be at the designated hub. Not all LOBs are at all hubs. They want us to “collaborate.”
Ha! Being in a hub is no where close to safe. After a short blip, layoffs will become a disease of the hubbed.
@ojh+1rCNSwGf Charlotte and Tempe are hubs, right? I thought positions in hubs were safe unless the tech positions going to India.
