Someone had leaked this year ahead of the Sept 30 transformation announcements.
Their info was good haha.
EMPS and Upstream to merge

@cs hahaha. What, you are not inspired by her?!? Is it the disrespectful way she treats people or that she is clueless about projects?
@gt more managers not gonna hurt the bank
@OP I think that our new operations company will be spun off and all operations will be outsourced just like Boeing did with Spirit AeroSystems which are the same folks that can’t hang doors properly on the things we fly. Didn’t work so well for Boeing, but hey DW, let’s give it a try for the process industry.
@gh Let’s be real. XOM is too management fat and we seem to be doing absolutely nothing about trimming that fat.
@bq our plant manager said their would be no redundancies. I wonder if that will be true. At the very least, I expect hiring will slow down a lot, or a larger NSI% bucket
let's be real, its a commodity business where you can't control product price, the only way to win is to lower the cost in the bottom line
xom is too fat compare to other commodity companies
@df it means that layoffs are coming after the move rather than before
What does lift and shift actually mean?? Such vague corporate speak
Hopefully JMG takes CHM with him. She is the worst. Not a leader and can go back to Ops management.
To all that were asking how major footprint reduction will happen — you now have the answer.
With upstream and EPS merging. This means no more redundant people.
They will not call it layoffs. They will call it efficiencies.
You all think they a lot of jobs so far? You haven’t seen nothing yet.
Good luck everyone
More layoffs and outsourcing coming your way
Upstream has a higher compensation curve than downstream. Any guesses on which compensation curve the new combined org is going to have? Darren gets another new $100k watch …
Merge operations and then outsource 50% of it to 3rd parties. Just exactly how SBM operates all our FPSO’s.
I have to admit that this idea sounded so far fetched I thought it was one of the many fake speculations we see on this forum, but there it is black and white in a corporate email. Doesn’t make sense to me but ok darren.
