No promotions in 2025

Just heard that unless you land a placed positions through the wave 1 or wave 2 selection events at a higher PSG, there will be no promotions this year.

Great news all around. 4 days in office, and no merit based promotions. Really makes things motivating around here.

The way to get a promotion is to change companies.

@bw I was told no promotions this year.
Those conversations usually start in July or August for promotion effective dates in November.

HR has decided to realign promotion to the same time as new salary action, which means OP is correct that there are no merit based promotions in 2025.

By January’s 4 day in office policy, people will also just quit on their own so they don’t have to promote anyone. FcK chevron.

Only 100%+ as well as FIVE or more years in grade. So if you’re 20 years in grade and 150% CO, you’re getting a promotion.

The HR logic is brilliant because that’ll be the people we should be promoting 🙄

When people are being fired right and left who would ki-l just to keep their old job under any terms, it makes no sense to promote people or allow WFH.

No merit based promos corporate wide or is this specific to certain functions.
Lots people are working more than ever at a higher level than ever something has to break. So basically if
Your over 100 percent CO is the message no raise and no promo

My manager told me that the people getting raises are the ones over 100% of CO. This is being currently evaluated.

Continue to tear them apart in the CES (if we still have it). One of the ways to really let leaders know what’s going on.

OP, I agree with you about the lack of career growth. The carrot is no longer hanging in front of you and the stick is bigger and being used more often.

The Carrot: A reward, prize, or benefit offered to entice someone to do something.

The Stick: A threat of punishment, negative consequences, or disciplinary action to force someone to comply.
