Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

Just had an Indian bot assigned to my project

I kept an open mind, but it’s bad. The Indian bot feeds work to chatgpt and regurgitates it back. This is our scalable opportunity? What dr-gs are the execs on?

@bq no kidding. Had one visit us so that we could hand our jobs over last year, godawful smell from our cubes. Everyone rejoiced when he was gone after 3 week. He also spent more time at the galleria and outlets than he did trying to learn the ropes. He said he could always come back to us for help but can’t get a second chance to go shopping.

Our manager asked how copilot increased our productivity. The 3 Indian dudes said by a whole lot, they’ve been able to get more work out since it was enabled. They failed to say half their sh-t won’t compile, and what does is poorly written. Almost as though copilot wrote it for them. As Trump would say #sad

Interesting transition plan. Pay the Indians a pittance to discover and run AI programs,v then management can have IT create a grand unified AI program and ditch the Indians. Very clever
