Plain and simple. It’s one of the cheaper ways to get rid of the people. Never mind that implementation in other companies has demonstrated that best leave the first, because they obviously have more options. Not that DXC cares about keeping the ones who actually know what they’re doing.

@yv Look at you on every post crying like a little baby. Take your own advise and leave.
Just leave already, if your not happy why do you stay? A bunch of cry babies
RTO? Recovery time objective?
No recovery for dxc - aka infinity
@bz They can give you all the verbal they like. Whether you go in or not - it makes no odds to your salary I'm sure. They won't be able to find you a desk. They won't approve the expenses. So unless you live next to a site and actually would prefer to go in - nothings changed.
It is not mandatory for those with a WFH contract, therefore it will not make most go away. Maybe for those who are put under extreme pressure by their management, enough might be enough, but they can still say NO.
@bq The point of the duck is that you have to take it on holiday with you so that you can't forget about DXC while you're off for a week. If you would also take your laptop and check your messages and reply that would also be much appreciated. Better still just don't use your holidays! You are a slave!!
As an incentive to attend an office, you can get a DXC Duck. I really do mean Duck, and layoff hasn't replaced any Fs. But FFS they can have people waste time and money on stuff like that whilst some of us were trying to deliver a project. But are thwarted by people who have no intention of helping.
In the eyes of the leadership any warm body is the same as any other when it comes to workers.
We aren't a curated team of experts, we are just completely instantly interchangeable plebs that they can simply swap for another whenever they feel like it.
Unlike the senior leadership who are unique geniuses.
This was the M1 concept and it's stuck.
