@bp it isn’t lump sum. they pay it every pay period(so every other week.) so its like still getting paid for x number of months.
@bp I’ve never heard of anyone getting a lump sum. Salary is paid through the severance period.
my previous post got deleted. pasting it here again
i like LLH for their resume consultation.
and some live webinars for salary negotiation, branding and their app for practice interview … its AI where they analyze your voice cadence, ums, etc to check your confidence level… you can also have it ask behavioral questions to u
most hiring managers i interviewed with are indians. and based on my more than a decade experience in job hunting (had to look for jobs 4x in that span) here in the US, an interview with a male indian hiring manager/panel ALWAYS results to not moving forward.
all of the jobs i got hired to didn’t involve a male indian hiring manager/interviewer. hopefully its just a coincidence, but darn my luck. i lost my job to HIH and also not getting a job because of indians. im not being a racist, im just sharing experiences.
I was incredibly lucky and found a job paying more within a very short time. New company is amazing and truly values employees.
It's like hitting the lottery though. Depending on the level of job it can take quite a while. Just keep at it and use your network.
The best way to get in somewhere is knowing a guy that knows a guy.
I'm still looking. Two interviews with one company that lied about their hybrid policy (really fully in-office), but it didn't work out of other reasons. I have a bunch of severance so mostly enjoying the time off and taking advantage of some free LinkedIn Learning courses through the LHH program that I didn't have the time to utilize while still with Cigna. Going to push hard in a few weeks.
LHH is hardly helpful, same BS with coaching. If you are seeking technical roles, LHH is pretty useless.
Just found something new. LHH was ok, but just okay.
Switched industries and careers. Making about 1/2 my salary. Zero stress. Was with the company nearly 20+. You have no idea how much stress you're under until you're out. Might have to work 10 years longer to retire... But I'm thankful they let me go.
I took some time to regroup and just started the coaching at LHH about 2 weeks ago. I haven’t needed a resume update in over 10 years so the changes recommended were interesting. So far the coaching is fine.
Does Cigna give a lump sum for severance packages or how does it work please?
