Looks like those under PSG20 got sc--wed like the rest of us. Looking over for a colleague & seems like some are appearing “fake” & being listed as opened to apply but not within the actual tool. Now at least we know chevron is “fairly” sc--wing everyone alike! Our 26PSG’s felt it when it happened to us, unfair, but now we know. No chance of looking for something elsewhere as they’ve saved those jobs for their own in the lower PSGs too.

@bp Lowest value work ? You do realize there are a lot of frontline workers in the field , keeping operations afloat as well as starting new facilities in that pay grade.
Sad thing is there is definitely some talent among some of the 19 and 20. Even some with more skills then us. Hope we all (including them) bounce back
Correct. I used to encourage my kids to become oil and gas engineers. Not a chance I’d recommend that today.
The surface platform IT manager REM… completely moved his platform roles to ENGINE. What a damn nimrod, just following orders without any critical thinking at all, I guess.
outsourcing low value work to the lowest cost centre available
same like Manila and Bueno Aires
Choosing Chevron was one of the worst mistakes many university grads made. It's possibly a career ki-ler for many young engineers in this job market
Which makes no sense because wouldn't you rather keep the "cheaper" employees and cut the more expensive ones? They don't care though, I'm sure they'll hire someone for 1/3rd of the price of a PSG 17 in Buenos Aires and figure it out later.
Nope…roast the 26’s
