Has anyone started to get "surprise" email meeting invites for tomorrow/Friday yet? Any insight on when these emails are likely to start? I am having a panic attack each time my Outlook new email alert chimes today.

The invite I received today for 8/8 came from the leader of my direct manager. Does that mean my direct manager is also part of the RIF?
I checked my email again tonight, normally I don't after quit for the day.
I never bring a rosary to work, but I am tomorrow... I'm am going to need to find serenity.

I just received invite for tomorrow afternoon. No detailed agenda, with a reminde “not to forward to others”. I’m just praying and hoping for a miracle that it’s not the end but I feel this is it. After 24 years, I have to prepare myself for the next chapter.
Got my meeting invite for tomorrow morning. It's bittersweet but I rather leave this company unemployed and find a better job that treats me better and pays for my worth. I'm feeling sorry for the folks who stay behind and have all that extra work while still expected to do that and their original work on top for no extra pay, OT, or promotion. And working extra hours just to keep their job...smh....Good to you all!!!

I got a 4 pm meeting invite at 3:45 pm. My job is ok but 6 people on my team have been RIFd with last day 9.6.24. It’s true and it’s happening.
One person is our department was notified they will no longer have a position by EOY. They were notified this morning and the remainder of the team was informed an hour later.
7 people let go from Financial Ops department..
How do you all know that the rifs have already started?

Very unlikely anything goes out today. Typically they come a couple hours before hand.
I was riffed last Sept and I received my meeting invite just a few hours before meeting time.
I suspect they will start being sent tomorrow morning
No, not yet...hopefully it stays that way
