Heard today in an “official” meeting that there is a pause on hiring and corporate travel, unless required by a client. Not sure how long that has been in place, but this was announced on a quarterly call in my area.
Can anyone confirm if this is actually true? We've been desperately waiting for some roles to be backfilled. If it’s really off the table, I’m about ready to throw in the towel. I can’t keep doing the work of three people much longer.

No. My director openly said she doesn't have high hopes of being able to fill any positions this year.

Yes, it's true and dates back to the end of last year. Some positions are being filled, but having to go thru a lot of levels of approval to show they're really needed. A lot of areas dealing with being shorthanded.
There are many jobs in different locations posted on Workday. Maybe some are being filled.
