Vacation policy change

Anyone notice the sudden change to the vacation policy? Last year it changed with no communication and made it appear everyone was earning more per year and at earlier anniversary dates. Suddenly the policy is back to what it was in 2021. And says revised July 2022. Interesting…As usual communication is on point. Not!

Thank you for the 2 new Follett holidays. Would have been nice to add the holidays and not eliminate 2 floating holidays.

my new place starts at 4 weeks right away... and goes up from there. Also 14 holidays, 13 sick days and 7 personal days. If you don't use all the sick time, you can sell some back for a 33% the value. ie 1 day pay for every 3 you turn in.

Well you are entitled to take vacation. And losing over a company that doesn't care about it is pointless. You earned vacation. Close the store and take it. Your loyalty won't be reciprocated.

Who has time to take a vacation anyway? Not to mention so many people can't because they're the only staff member in the store. No one (company or campus) is going to be okay with closing the store for a week so that the only staff member can take a vacation.

Yes it was changed and lowered even after taking into account the extra quarter last year. Last year at 15 years you reached the top accrual. Now there is a 25 year category for maximum vacation of 5 weeks.

I think the vacation time situation only changed temporarily because of the change in end date for the fiscal year.
