Global Ops - what a cluster

BCG must be great sales people as they have no idea how to operate or run an energy business but we still listen to them and act on their recommendations. The Global Ops Reorganization will be an absolute clusterf. No body will know who’s doing what and mark my words, there will be a negative impact

There are cracks being exposed across the board now. We have vendors not being paid, employees walking out of the door, IT systems falling down, projects taking long, many of the Polaris team leaving due with the Canadian redundancy and many more.

Op is absolutely correct. BCG just “helped” with the GBS reorg and if you think your supplier payments are going well, check again. The ship is finally showing cracks, thank you consultants!

I was actually ranked good for your information. I am just riding it out till they pip me. I am very good at improving existing, outdated scientific instruments and processes. I have brought many good ideas that I have learned from other companies to exxon. What I hate is those who will oppose new ideas because it was not their idea. There are too many egos at exxon and they stop any improvement or innovation. Exxon is doomed because of this. No one thinks anymore or challenges the bosses absurd ideas. Exxon just hired 30 new technicians or technologist to replace the clinton people they laid off and pipees in baytown. The new hires are all fresh out of school and can only do one thing which is follow orders or procedures. They cannot think for themselves but can only push buttons on instruments.

@OP “…as they have no idea how to operate or run an energy business…”

Neither do you or most of the people you interact with.

Reminds me of all the little “barracks generals” during OEF/OIF who thought they should be running the war, but couldn’t PMCS a vehicle in the motor pool without breaking something.

@bm sorry to hear about your poor ranking

The only facts that are needed is the continued corrupt ranking system, favoritism, nepotism, and promotion of the most clueless a ss kissers. Exxon is the most backwards a ss company I have ever worked for. Trying to get anything done without miles of paperwork and bureaucracy or employees egos is impossible. I played hot potato with three employees trying to get signatures for a month. Exxon keeps trying to reorg to get more efficient but it just creates more waste and inefficiency.

Do you have any facts to back up your opinion?
