Linkedin posts are recruiting at colleges for ENGINE. They can hire cheap labor and get rid of the horizons in US that is 6 times the cost.

Chevron is not looking for top tier talent if they are looking for engineers in India. The smartest engineers in India come to the US for jobs.

@bm all of them that I know of except for those hired in 2024-2025. I think it’s going to be brutal for the rest of them. Not a lot of positions available
CVX recruiting the best? Good luck. Takes HR a month to even send an offer letter. By that point all the top talent has been scooped up by XOM and the independents.

@be, You mean like the old days? That's desperately needed and would be a complete 180 from what is going on today and the reason for such dramatic cuts. It's evident when you read some of these posts. Many are only capable of ChatGpt, AI and the like. Anyone, anywhere can perform at that level. So Engine works to replace them.
I think India Tech center is replacing horizons jobs. CVX is wanting to train Indians similar to how they trained new college hires.
CVX will focus on very specific top tier talent from college going forward. Reduce the number of people they recruit, and look for the best.
