Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

I'm exhausted

Can we have just a full month without layoffs? Just one?

@c8 , you just don’t get it. Their recent & current strategies have lead to outright disaster. Thus, it’s be best to alleviate those (specific) “strategizers” as they’re a detriment to us all.

@bk so you’d rather a bunch of workers bumping helmets with no strategy. Smart. You should run the company. We’d be shuttered in a week.

would you even hear about layoffs if you didn't come here?
maybe it would hit your particular group once a year or every few years. and maybe you'd hear about it another time or two during the year as it hits groups you work with.

if hearing about layoffs is so debilitating for you, stop coming here.

@aa , for the umpteenth time, the MOST unneeded ‘workers’ are comprised of the C suite down through the utterly superfluous layers of “VP’s”. These are the MOST worthless AND costly!

Constant crying, whining, and moaning tends to exhaust a person.

@a3 people don’t take a moment to think, I’m here until I’m not, and the day I’m not here anymore the work will keep going. No one cares what you want or when you want it. You signed the papers for the job and you can leave whenever you want. It’s not the company’s job to put food on your table or pay for your golf game.

The last layoff to go through will be next week for many.

Need to right size the company. Get rid of the unneeded workers and move forward.

“If they gave us one day back to wfh, people would bi--h and moan that it’s not more. People want to be lazy and live life and do work when it’s convenient for them. That doesn’t grow a business. All you pu----s are using some events that happened 6 years ago to demand different work patterns. Everyone begged for the world to go back to normal but this one thing everyone doesn’t want to touch. Stop whining, butt in seat and if you don’t like it, become a telemarketer in Mumbai.”

Or instead of trickling it out over years, lets just do it once and be done already. Next layoff, just get rid of 40% and be done.

We don’t stop until we clear out everyone who isn’t market based. Old people were coming for you.

Wouldn’t it be nice? Unfortunately we’re at the mercy of a bad economy, too many bad business deals, and a CEO who hates us.

Maybe it will slow down if he retires.
Maybe it will slow down if we hit a number.
Maybe it will stop if the company is acquired.
Maybe it will all go bust and us along with it.
