@v8 How is what happened in minnesota different from MEDC or the rest of our entrepeneurial ecosystem? Local government gives money to gatekeepers that give it to their friends. Make it make CENTS because it's costing DOLLARS and it's making NOTHING.

Stealing candy from a baby and getting caught in 4k, then trying to silence the proof and resisting through psychological warfare until being backed into a corner to do the RIGHT thing AFTER the extended duration of the war is not CHARITY.

@v8 There’s a significant difference. The Learning Corner only receives minimal grants and is considered a charity.

Correct. Finally a post in this thread that isn't complete gibberish or argumentive nonsense. Ford leadership is what drives this company to succeed. But when GSR's don't deliver executive leadership's objectives or even follow the intent, we cannot win.

I hope most of you attended the Global Town Hall prior to the holiday break to hear the best leadership in the mobility business (DF KG JF) lay out 2026 for us.

Let's be happy and have a group hug and collect our bonus.... I think that's how leadership works and how we got to near daily recalls

@gc If that were a true statement everyone who contributed to and signed off/approved the model in questions DFMEA and PFMEA should be FIRED and ordered to pay restitution for a $h**ty design that the were involved in/supported. But then, I am glad to see the price being paid in sales $ and repair costs because management prefers to kiss a$$ as opposed to kicking it! Bill needs to stop buying his clothes where the emperor buys his!

We need real peace in this place, I'm reaching out for answers. Some people on here seem aggressive, I don't like that, the personal attacks need to stop. If it seems like people flip flop it's probably because they're moving between two thoughts that may conflict, trying to understand what's real, what's not so as not to cause dissonance. Can we all agree to some peace over break? It is the holidays, we should be happy, no fighting.

@gm Like I said, not my org, I am an outsider in an engineers world.

It's clear you are not in the loop if you think engineers can solve issues without leadership. Engineers can't approve jack it all goes to leadership fo approval denial or revision

@gj Some issues don't belong with leadership in the first place, we're paid to resolve problems on our own, and if something does need to be resolved higher up being reasonable an honest about what's going on so management can make the right choices. Not sure where the recall failures fall. I've been out of the loop in the engineering world, not my org.

I think leadership rewards covering up issues and punishes anything but smiles and green smiley faces in the status reports

@gg Don't use ChatGPT to decode this, it doesn't seem to have done well in the past.

@gd Multiple people here, warning... you know why, if you worked here you'd see it clear as day. I'd like to understand how we get to the point of recall, and why the issues are not cleaned up sooner, did someone misrepresent the quality issue early on? Is it malicious, or did they just not see the issue for what it was? Not all engineers are malicious, some make an honest mistake, and fail to present a clear picture of an issue. But you should expect leadership to catch the issue. I've been told two stories about why we have quality issues, I'd like to believe one, but it doesn't fully hold water.

Seems like if we cared about reputation and customers we would figure a way to not need to do recalls. I worked with some great campaign prevent specialists but they are probably all retired or pushed out

@ga We recall because we care about our reputation as a company, leaving a customer unsatisfied is not a great reputation to have. Anyone with a passion for the industry and the company knows that.

@bc well, there are a number of ways, I think most that disappear just show their management they have an integrity problem in general.

@bj I don't think we should read into things too much, I think that's a big problem we have on this site personally. If you have something to say, feel free to say it, I'm not alerting the sites monitors, just looking to engage in dialogue.
