Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

I just started at State Farm

WOW! This is my first week at State Farm and I guess I was expecting something different. I'm going to be a Claim Specialist and was really excited about joining State Farm but after seeing everyone in my training class and at CityLine, I think I made a huge mistake. I can't believe SF would hire these people. Most of them are illiterate, look like they were pulled out of the unemployment line or were slinging burgers a the local burger flop! Holy sh-t! When I pulled into the parking garage and got on the elevator, it smelled like weed! This is sad..... I guess SF is a messed up just like the rest of this country!

The tube of lube in you welcome package should have been your first clue.

I tell everyone I meet not to get insurance with SF! I explain how they operate and treat their employees! I think I'm around 153 people and counting! I will work another year then I will create my own State Farm severance plan with all my legacy PTO, FMLA, ADA and repeat as long as I can! I've seen some people drag it out almost 3 years! Work another job the whole time and milk them for every penny I can, just like they do their employees! I encourage every single person to do everything in their power to play their own games and schemes against them! Use all your benefits and do not hesitate to take advantage!

Ask Jake from State Farm.

I did and switched my policies to a different company. SF has so much money to spend on commercials during sporting events. What a joke.

@bk Or could it be the old retired single man who sadly has all this money in his pocket and no one to enjoy the rest of his life with except shop at Walmart? LOL!

I think calling SF the Dollar General is not a complement to Dollar General and an upgrade for SF. At least Dollar General is smart enough to be everywhere in every neighborhood. They are like a good neighbor because they are everywhere. SF is only in 4 major sites. We'll 3 because Atlanta doesn't count anymore. But the thing they both have in common, the mangers both have nose rings and tattoos. Go woke n go broke.

@OP Yep, this definitely sounds like a new hire. It's definitely not the same right wing person who spams this board with his fantasies.

That Exec said hire a 2040 workforce...I think they skipped 2040 and went straight to 2050! SF has become the Dollar General of the industry and workforce!

Yes I'm in ET and Cityline bldg and its depressing whenever I go back into the 8/9/10th/11th floor. I have NO idea who these people are that are wandering the halls but they look like drop outs, they wander around with their headsets on watching music videos on their phones. It so sad I used to see so much talent pre-covid that you could talk and interact with when we were in the office, now its like going to see a tomb of what was once so great.
