Thread regarding General Motors layoffs

Has anyone looked at Ford's Layoff Page?

They look to be in big trouble.... Which asylums do they hire from?

@tm Industry or legacy automotive? EV startups don’t seem caught up in these Salem witch trials, where a little magic can sometimes stir more worry than wonder.

@bj it’s like a car crash. People around the office talk about it semi often, say they try avoid looking it, but still do.

There are issues that affect the car industry as a whole.

They're not make specific.

Even things like poor management seem to affect the entire industry.

Young adults are used as a punching bag there for all the hate some secretly feel about themselves. They get off on it by trying to destroy lives of people that only tried to stand up for themselves. They write false-statements and then try to get a response out of them. If there is no response, they try and escalate the smear campaigns / harassment. It is a sick game they play for fun when someone speaks up for themselves about mistreatment. I would be very scared to join if I was young, ambitious, and a self-advocate. Very horrible company to currently work at.

@pn Strategy: loot competence, ridicule the source.

It looks like a live national geographic hyena convention there. They’d rather torch a clear mind than illuminate a broken one, single designated chew-toy at a time. Actual meme warfare.

Hollowing out American companies by replacing American workers with foreign workers who work for a lot less?

"It isn't 1950 anymore."
It is the age of hollowing companies out
and doing whatever you can to immediately increase the share price.
It is like a giant liquidation.

Car companies need better management.

It isn't 1950 anymore.

Time to come into the 21st Century.

Check GM Reddit page. We are not better. It is depressing just reading GM Reddit posts.

I’ve seen cults with healthier exit strategies. It’s the same vibe as CIA declassified docs for MK-Ultra, but they forgot to black out the scanned PDFs.
