IT Leadership, if thats a such a thing here

Should we send a wellness check for LC and the other IT leaders? Haven't heard from them in a long time really about anything. Same thing from MW and MN.

Love this comment - I had the same shock on my first 6 months at CVX as an experienced hire. .

so if people think ENGINE will messed up IT, it has been like that for almost 20 years..

You know what’s incredible? In 15 years in this company, not a single supervisor or leader has looked at or reviewed my code once

@bj
That's THE CHEVRON WAY.
You land on a team and realize you are the only one knowing what's happening around and you see the others faking the work. No wonder why the PMP is useless.

LC was DOA. The time for a welfare check has passed.

You know what’s incredible? In 15 years in this company, not a single supervisor or leader has looked at or reviewed my code once - none of them knew how, and if they did, they wouldn’t know what they were looking at anyhow.

My current supervisor even admitted recently she has no idea what I do or what my work involves.

The new IT MSP teams are not up to the task of keeping the lights on.

Who cares?
The only things that matter, keeping things up and running, are not working.

More major IT incidents again this week.

IT leadership?

Bwahahaha.

Most of them don’t even know which end of a computer is the hot end, and which is the cold end.

It’s unbelievable that LC somehow made his way to the CIO spot at a company as large as Chevron. He seems incapable of leading, inspiring, communicating, motivating or setting any type of vision, and he appears to have no technical qualifications to help offset that complete lack of natural leadership.

I know I’m excited to watch him putter around the stage reading from the crumpled paper in his hands during the next town hall.

Just like LC says. You can’t spell engine without IT.

MN is busy cleaning out the dimples on his golf ba--s. It takes hours for him to complete the task.

I’m qualified to be an IT manager. I don’t know anything about IT

LC was stabbed in the back by MW. It's amazing what LC would do for a bit of money. Now probably most of the world hates him except his buddies.
