CAN logs

Does anyone know if we are collecting CAN logs from all the most recent cars we sold and storing them somewhere

Yes. If the vehicle has a functional modem then that's all being streamed to a data store.

yes, you can get As built data as well as EOL logs. You need to figure the rest out, reach out to some fellow coworkers or ask around.

OP also doesn't understand why and when are CAN logs taken. Imagine if every car sold there's a CAN log that is stored, then for what? To debug later when there's an issue? The stored CAN logs are useless and Ford just spent a lot of money for storage (disks/SSD) of information that no one needs.

@bh

More to the point, if you think you are going to get any kind of answer to that question here you're at a lower level then the person who said that. Really...WTF...

@am CAN Is how literally every vehicle functions. It's how vehicle modules communicate with one another and has been used for 40 years now. If you hear CAN and think, "OmG FoRd IsNt A TeCh CoMpAnY!!!!" then you're an id--t who doesn't understand how cars function.

Did you check the CAN/ toilet? I think they store their build plans there as well.
