Think we’ll be going through this again in two years…18 months? Predictions?
One thing that for sure is over is any meaningful career path for the survivors of this down sizing. Jobs offshored to India or eliminated an the chosen few promoted means slim pickings for anyone else in the foreseeable future.
This is all some of these pathetic scurmudgeons have. They can’t go out and find a new gig that’s ever go-a-be as good as they had with CVX!!!!
As a former very long time employee, you need to know it's never over. Reorganization happen every 3-5 years. This is Mike's only lever to reduce cost. It's painful. You either learn to ensure or you get o ut.
Hess force will turn this thing around. To the moon 🤘
Because it’s over for them….?
@bh - bp is going through the exact same thing.... Tough times indeed.
And don't forget the adjustments that will be ongoing after the Hess absorption. We're in for a long, bumpy ride.
Years to recovery? No. You will never recover. Source: I work at Exxon.
Because Vince Carter said so
Just look at LinkedIn. While thousands of loyal chevron employees are being shown the door, Chevron continues to cheerfully welcome countless new additions to chevron india. It’s sickening. Culture is down the tubes and will take years before recovering the trust between leaders and staff. Accountability is a word thrown around more than ever yet it’s glaringly obvious that leaders mean accountability for everyone but them.
It seems like it’s over because the chevron many of us began working for and grew with is a distant memory of the chevron we see now.
Becuase you all stimulate on it? Hahahaha!!!
@am "Dead Wood" You're all heart. Let me know how many kittens you kick on the way home.
When much of the dead wood is carted off, the remainder relax. Look at SBU SCM, some think it's now efficient. Obviously that's far from the case but fear and greed stop people from looking too deep.
Seems like people forgot all about the “recalibration” to take place after ENGINE starts to ramp up their operation.
Remember end of last year? There is going to be a reprieve for a few mo the then right back at it in 2026.
