Thread regarding USAA layoffs

The game is rigged.

Just read Amala is going to Delta Airlines to be their Chief Digital & Technology Officer.

Poor Delta. These worthless executives always come out smelling like roses.

@yp it’s worse than fake pips guys. They are trumping up accusations to fire people under violating “code of conduct” or “ethics” (literally anything in the employee handbook).

More people have been fired for cause this year than have been laid off.

We should have unionized back in 2020.

@z0 bruh, there are already 2 OCC folks sitting in our bank. People don't understand how close we're were to being shut down. A certain political family was on one of the items from the consent order...review the one where money was laundered for a no-named artist. Sorry if the facts hurt - I voted for that guy twice.

Amala is having leadership still get creative about how to put employees on pips even after she left. Her legacy or destruction is toxic. Leadership is toxic by not knowing how to deal with payroll costs and budget cuts properly. She created a Project to eliminate jobs using AI agents. Leadership knew about it in advance. They could have foreseen budgets. Hiring. Etc. instead they respond with undeserved pips. Employees gonna respond back. At least those who don’t have pips. I like this dance.

I like street justice a lot better. No more employee relations. Turn the other way on large losses. Take charge. Bring in the OCC. yeah. How ya like me now

AML here. Yep. I will turn the other way. Toxic executives need to stop the tank and yank. It’s not the USAA culture anymore. AML losers.

I’m glad that I found out about the toxic executives placing pips on undeserved employees who work hard all year. I will make sure not to point out any million dollar errors because the leadership here does not take feedback and well, they would rather pip you out. I will turn the other way from now on on high dollar mistakes and encourage my colleagues. It’s not worth my job. I will just play d-mb like the executives here. Just look at the bank. Using pips as a way to reduce payroll. Well. The reputation is out for the bank and the employees are taking charge now. We are not reporting anything. Come on in OCC. this leadership is toxic.

It’s a big mistake by Delta, but I am more happy to see her gone from USAA. She is a lie, Toxic, manipulative and a gutter. Hope Delta protects its employees through what it’s going to witness soon.
And no fly delta now. It’s a big risk

The real damage is going to be to everyone's resume who worked at USAA. When they realize what they've actually got, why would anyone ever want to hire from there again?

Curious if @bg is or was an IT employee at USAA. IF you think USAA has a toxic culture, the shame goes to the csuite for creating it not the employees! We have the same hope and grace as you do. I have seen many leaders come through this company, AND BY FAR, I REPEAT, BY FAR, SHE HAS BEEN THE MOST TOXIC. If you know, you know, and YOU DO NOT KNOW!

Well, I'm not flying Delta anymore if she in charge of thrir technology. A nice metric would be to measure increases in delayed/canceled flights and baggage. I hope Boeing and Airbus don't let her tinker with flight controls.

Mo--nic blather.
The future of the company is shaped by the same board that gave us Amala. The recent past is one of the best resource to consult in order TO look forward. Especially if the board and C-suite don't openly repudiate their recent mistakes.

@cf yes she did fail upwards even more bigly than expected. But if you can remember, everyone from Regions warned us when she came here and now we’re passing the favor along to Delta.

Agree with @bg+1kefbjc46. I am a member since 16 years & served before joining here. These are type of people who should be removed from the company.

There is far too much toxicity and negativity at USAA, and this post is a good example. These people are life time whiners & cowards. The individual being discussed left months ago and no longer has any impact on the organization or on anyone’s day-to-day work. Instead of constantly looking backward and dwelling on the past, it would be far more productive to focus on the present and the future. Blaming individuals or the system after the fact achieves nothing. A healthier approach is self-reflection, accountability, and gratitude—moving forward rather than staying stuck in old narratives.

She gonna have every employee investigated for stupid stuff. Their leaders are gonna be spinning and not understanding technology just like here. The leaders there are gonna eat it all up. Sorry delta. Hope you understand technology
