You can't help but wonder why a once great company would purposely hire a corrupt and incompetent CEO knowing that he completely destroyed the previous company from which he came. What's worse, is that thanks to his gross ineptitude, well over 30,000 (and counting) good, hardworking, tenured employees got sc--wed over during his reign. Meanwhile, he gets rewarded and gets to walk away with a 40 million dollar golden parachute fot it. It's criminal.

@a8 This comment is referring to Hans. He destroyed Ericcson then got hired to do the same at Verizon. Dan has track record of improving companies once he takes over but unfortunately thanks to the mess Hans left, 13000 employees are paying the price.
@bg Verizon per se, no, but I've been around since right before divestiture and I can tell you that Bell Atlantic was a great place to work. Retired now and don't recognize the place. Just know that anyone impacted by this RIF will land on their feet and be happier with less stress.
Verizon was NEVER a great company.
It's kind of like how everyone calls any retired sports stars "legendary"...it just ain't so!
Just look at the nasty comments on all the threads. VZ is hopeless now. There’s some very nasty people working here from the top down. It’s sad to see this company go to **
This will come down in history as one of the worst stories of gross mismanagement and Corruption, greed. I am appalled at the leadership for hiring a CEO with the track record he had.
After watching things unfold yesterday, I am no longer the dedicated hard working VZW employee I’ve been for 14 years. This is a job..praying for a VSP in 2026. I’m tightening my spending, taking my days off and not working (like I always do) and prioritizing my needs. I wish everyone that was impacted yesterday good luck…
LoMac was no prize before him either.
The sad part is, Everyone knew that Hans was knows for destroying companies..
@OP: will the current be any better??
@OP: HV or DS?
Very well said
