I was pretty bummed out about it.
But I think shareholders are probably happier to see me go than I am sad to have lost my job.
The total happiness in the world increased.
So, whatever.

When one door closes, another opens. Good luck & look forward~
When I first read the subject line, I thought the OP was telling us he/she got laid. 🤣
Now you understand that billionaires are created from the tears and sweat of discarded workers. Sad you had to learn the hard way, but hey better late than never.
do you get a package?
@b2 This. People sure turn into d-cks behind a keyboard.
@ah the stock isn't going any where so sad should be your emotion. The stock will never pop past the value that Intel could be sold. The stock is there now.
@b2 the dog eat dog mentality will take over after this round of cuts. There are clearly more layoffs and performance reductions in the future and there is little to nothing in the job market. It is a toss up, which is worse, getting cut this round or having to endure the next generation of cut throat employment.
Not one post offered any condolence... on the chance that OP is troll this still shows what a toxic swamp Intel is.
Sorry you lost your job OP.
Intel is a toxic stew of a failure. Finding a new job should be an inspiring relief. Or start a company that gets subsidized by state and local government and sit back and watch the government will you to success. Either way you’re better off than being at Shytzilla.
@ag I'm a shareholder and a soon to be ex-employee. I am both happy and sad.
@aa I am not really any happier.
Ya. Whatever. Gomer
Op is trolling. This is a parody of the shen comics meme where he gets his bike stolen and is a total loser about it
My wife cheated on me this week.
I was pretty bummed out about it.
But I think the guy who boinked my wife was happier than I am sad.
The total happiness in the world increased.
So, whatever.
Be sure to that the retirees on your way out!
I was laid off this week as well. I see it as a positive. Just the relief of not having the stress of layoffs looming over my head (as we all have had for the last 2 years) is worth the price of admission. I'll miss the paycheck, sure. But my mental health improves day by day. I'm walking away with pride in what I accomplished, ignoring the fact that no amount of success makes you safe in an environment like this.
I was pretty ecstatic when Intel laid me off and gave me a nice severance package.
@OP I'm sorry. Even if, as some have suggested, it ends up being for the best, it's never easy to be let go from a job. Good luck. Know that you are not the only one, and it likely has very little to do with you personally.
It’s like the day you broke off with a crazy manipulative abusive ex… su-ks, but boy was it the right thing to do.
You will probably look back in gratitude at this day in the future
What team?
