Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

Headlines say "Less Than 1%" of Beaverton HQ. But it's actually 3.7%

I have the numbers on a spreadsheet, but not the names.

I can only hope that the DEI folks who celebrated 'sacrificing everything' to 'believe in something' dominate that list of 3.7%.

Good riddance.

Haha, I remember that BS campaign. I remember Hillary Crane did an all hands for all of legal to address it because no one was given a heads up about it. People were PI---D!

@bd Yesterday alone was about 220 people, so not sure how you are getting < 100

The official email to employees (and the FAQ it links to) says it’s fewer than one percent of corporate employees. It doesn’t specify WHQ or say that it will be balanced evenly around the world.

This is not true at all. The numbers are remarkably small on WHQ, less than 100.

The number of corporate layoffs are less than 1%.

This is a challenging week for all of us, but making up numbers for the layoff to get upvotes is not the right way to deal with the challenge IMO

It’s 1% of overall workforce, which includes retail, who aren’t affected. A sneaky way of masking the number.
