Bahahaha "Backtracing" and slander? At least Google the words before you use them. Nevermind, you're a perfect fit.

@g7

By “written slander” do you mean libel?? Mo--n.
Who exactly are the defaming if they break an agreement.

And don’t get me started on what on earth you think “backtracing” is.
No clue legally, no clue technically - shut your pie hole

I walked away with over 40K in severance, took a couple of months off and walked into a new job on 20k more a year, better benefits. The grass is definitely greener on the otherside if you look for the right role.

Allstate's leadership and HR are cowards and not very bright people. They aren't going to and not capable of doing sh-t.

Fu-k all of them.

You will pay me again in two weeks and you scrubs will like it.

Well, ANI decided to get rid of me today. I've accepted the NDA, but let's see them try enforce it! I'll tell anyone who asks what a shower of backstabbing shills that are. In fairness, I've expected this for some time, so I've been quietly squirrelling away a variety of documents that will help ease my transition into a new role. Let's see if they come & get me! Come on Stevie Boy - I dare you!

@g7 Come at me, bro.

Slander. That's an interesting word for people posting on the the ground experience of being cast aside like so much garbage. Doing so because the clapping seal nature of Allstate's culture rewards, well...mindlessly clapping seals. But you do you.

Here to reminds anyone perusing this thread of any NDAs or other agreements SIGNED. Written slander will NOT be tolerated. Backtracing is being activated on company devices and perps will face immediate correction. Consequences will never be the same

Sorry to see so many good people impacted. I am sure they will find more deserving positions. For those that survived the cuts, the layoff noose just tightened a bit more.

@dn It wasn’t just onshore ATSC. It was spread across all 3 sites.

Because who needs architecture, infrastructure or IAM? That just gets in the way.

@dn it wasn’t just ATSC. ACE also impacted.

So a few more layoffs today. And actually people whose actions impact the customer and company. While overpaid, tenured leaders that outside of their own self important delusions provide zero worth to this company.

It's amazing how many "leaders" or "managers" have less than 5 direct reports and a lot with 0 direct reports.

If the boneheads in Illinois would rub together the 2 booze soaked brain cells they actually have and look at the organization tables of band levels and see how many reports these wastes of six figure salaries have. They would have dozens or more high paid, low impact "leaders" that they can easily give walking papers to. And this company wouldn't even know it.

No big losses in these overpaid egotistical bags of garbage.

More flattening to optimize the business, then a month later promote people to management positions. Makes sense, more managers and less people to do the work. LOL.

If this was just onshore atsc impacted then that is not a major round of layoffs. That area has been worked over a few times in the past (know from experience) and there is not all that much left of the onshore atsc area.

Just stop with making this to be a much bigger thing than it really is.

But I do agree that getting rid of atsc folks at this juncture is a pretty ridiculous and narrow sighted business decision. Please explain who is going to fix everything that home office broke with their incompetent planning and pathetic business decisions?

At this point if you have been with the company for a decent tenure getting a severance package would actually be a favor.

The stock price and "profits" discussed are all smoke and mirrors and corporate banter.

The house of cards is slowly starting to shift.

So what all areas were impacted today? Seeing ATSC (U.S.) was gutted but not much else on here. That aligns perfectly with the out of touch nature of the ivory tower. With ASC having MAJOR problems and tickets/incidents at an all time high it makes total sense to gut areas that may actually be able to fix things. It's like they are doing this deliberately for some reason. They always seem to lay off the department and areas that are most needed at that particular time.

I can say if this company really thinks that all is well with ASC and other areas and items where they are delusional to think certain support areas can be let go then we are all in trouble very very soon.

Ignore anyone saying anything about redundancy pay in ANI today. Those impacted will have got the meeting with their senior manager or director today to deliver the news and they'll speak with a HR rep tomorrow to go over the package on offer.

Historically it's been three packages offered to choose from - first two include signing an NDA for enhanced pay, the third is statutory. The first enhanced package is the one to go for. Leave next week, pay in lieu of notice and an extra sum of money for getting out the door asap. The second enhanced package allows you to stay around for 90 days on the bench for a bit less money overall but you'll be paying tax, NI, student loans deductions on the salary earned for those 90 days as it won't fall under redundancy pay which is tax free for the first 30k.

Sorry to all those impacted, hope you all pull through and get new roles soon. If you need work immediately, there are a few recruitment agencies constantly hiring for entry level civil service roles who'll have you starting within a few weeks as an agency worker. Sh-t pay and conditions but it'll cover the bills without burning through your redundancy money until you get something better.

@bq
Nice idea but it won't matter to them at all. There are literally people in director and above positions who will ride this rocket right into the ground before give up one sliver of the little fiefdoms they've built. That's in no small part why this keeps happening over and over and over again. And Big Blue encourages this kind of territorial toadyism in middle management, especially now with Zulfi and Kamal.

@bp
To hold the leadership’s feet to the fire. I’d get some satisfaction of seeing that mouthpiece ANI MD dragged over the coals at a Stormont committee. Lord knows they’ve had enough Invest NI money over the years.

Compare the news the last time the shipyard was laying people off. 50 employees was enough to keep it in the headlines for days. At ANI we’ve bled 100s over the past few years and not a peep.

@bn what benefit would that achieve? It won’t change the outcome.

@bm
If that's the case then there's no reason to sign an NDA and not go to the media/MLAs is there? Which I really hope someone does.

@bd ANI package is statutory redundancy, no budget left for enhanced redundancy offers.

What I find ironic is that the a-s kissers who prevent the company from ever changing and doing anything better are the ones who consistently get missed by these layoffs. I mean this is the umpteenth round of these things and the usual suspects are always still here.

The October 2023 bloodbath? Well, you're in the wrong place in our salary band or the wrong role on the HR chart so out you go cuz we gotta get down to a number. Except for the useless, strap hanging buffoons who crawled into the right senior manager's back pocket. They're still here.

Will management bother with the 'I know this is a difficult time and very emotional' spiel this time? Or will we get the, 'We've flattened the organization to make it more effective and we're now poised for growth' bullsh-t a la 2023?

To those affected: I am sorry and I wish you the best of luck. This will turn out to be a blessing. You can watch this plane plow a smoking crater from the safety of the ground.

US package seems to be the normal one, last day 6/5, but on the books til 7/28. Then 2 weeks pay per year of service as severance

@bd won’t that depend on tenure. Probably enhanced package anyway with NDA to avoid negative press
