Do you think we're not trying to leave? Do you think we enjoy being unhappy? The problem is that plenty of us are at an age where finding a new job is extremely difficult. Now add to that a pandemic along with the millions of people who have been laid off and are trying to find something new and what do you get? A very few responses, even fewer interviews, and no job offers. So please, just stop it. At this point, you're not making a point. You're just rubbing salt into the wound.

Rest assured that the executive level was aware of this and took advantage of the situation. They have been doing this for a long time. Slowly but surely. You might not have noticed... at least since 2012 in the regions. I wish you well

In systems they good ole gals and boys got renamed roles and they kept some around calling it “vivify” and EOM and infrastructure but obviously to do the work others did not want to do so they could br called Product Owners and be “leaders” and get raises and promotions. It’s all very fake. It’s not technology. It’s playing with people minds and lives for gain and prestige
Blaming your age and the ‘pandemic’ is just deferring the fact that you’re not looking very hard for a job. There are jobs and help wanted signs everywhere. And the economy is riding an historic growth spurt. Anyone with a pulse and willingness to work has all the opportunities they can imagine. They can either get in gear, or just sit back and make excuses.
These people that talk union, tell you to just leave, use racist remarks, name call and make false accusations are just people that are at the shallow end of the gene pool. Reality is they are not top performers, if they were they wouldn’t necessarily have the beefs they have. This site had once had a bit of integrity with, albeit rumors abounding. Now it is mostly just a vehicle to those who vent their displeasure and those who have had an axe to grind for most of their careers.
I was let go 11/20 but still keep up with site for any shred of truth of decisions the company is making as I have many friends that were not lucky enough to be let go. Those of you that that fall in the above categories have no influence for those of us that have even an iota of smarts.
Keep your head up. One way or another, someplace or somewhere, things will get better for everyone.
