I thought we were done with layoffs. Is this the normal tactic for Anthem? Get rid of employees, post open positions, hire, wait a few weeks then rinse and repeat? I mean, there were layoffs last week (and from the look of it even some this one) and I just read on another thread of impending layoffs next month. When will it be enough?

Rumor is that Anthem wants to have 70% of IT moved to offshore within 12-16 months.
Anthem recurring layoffs have been the norm for years and years. Normally occurring Spring and Fall every year, but with Legato formed, layoffs are occurring more often. To answer your question, no, layoffs will not stop. Rolling rifs are part of Anthem's culture.
@bbj+16Z2NrfW , that is your opinion and you are probably one of the people that are like that!!!! That person was being condescending and rude as well as that is the future of Anthem as well as mostly off shore people!!!!

You know, I'm really tired of the CONDESCENDING remarks or responses that are on here!!! How dare you respond to her/him in that tone!!! You think you are better than anyone on here?? Yes you are still with Anthem and hanging on. Well you know what, with your kind of attitude, you probably will be with Anthem for a long time because that is all they seem to want to stay there are unprofessional, bad attitude, don't know what they are doing, people. Anytime they have good people there, and its been proven, they will get rid of them and keep the people that are nasty!!! I hope your happy with yourself (Clap, clap)!!!!
To 'Rinse and repeat' Not sure if you're new to Anthem. Excuse me please if you're not. I only asked that as you seem surprised. Anthem is notorious for this. It's been going on for years. Out with old in with the new. CEO come and go . Budgets are poorly planned, Projects cut mid stream. Resources let go. Scrambling to try to pick up where you left off , after the budget is approved three months later its all whacked. Not sure what to tell you. Just do your best. I'm still hanging on but dont know for how long. Best wishes
