You wouldn't believe how many talented people are stuck here doing nothing useful because management won't get out of their own way. They constantly override the people who actually understand the details and then act surprised when nothing works right. After a while, even the best folks just stop caring and go into survival mode because what's the point of trying anymore?

BAC never took advantage of promotion from within for people who were in the weeds and understood systems and processes from E2E. They keep putting their yes men and women in management positions to keep the club pure. Explain easiest issues that needed updates was recreating Everytime.
@bb Compensation? Haven't seen that in years. Mgmt doesn't even give me the courtesy of a phone call to explain stock options. In my other roles / departments I used to get a 1k bonus taxed at 48%, I don't get that anymore.

I am so overqualified for my role it’s not even funny. Bank uses about 40% of my capability, but given the issues the OP points out matched by the poor compensation, 40% works for me and allows me to focus on what really matters - my family time. I know why they do it though. They don’t want me competing against them again. This is just a job, until it isn’t anymore.
