@ef this is pretty much how layoffs work. I've been laid off 3 times over my career. Twice it went just like what everyone is describing (you're locked out of everything immediately) and another time it was in November when we got word but we were all given until the end of the year before it all started.

Previously HCSC layoffs were the typical locked out of everything right away and escorted out of the building. This is the norm for HCSC and most of the corporate world.

@cb can someone please confirm there severance weeks here don’t have to tell years I don’t care but ai am trying to see what the trend is because the letter I got was super weird no mention of how to get access to workday to get my paycheck and performance information. This is the most bizarre way I have ever left a company. Never previously been laid off but always has access to my stuff. Also is anyone aware if previously severance has been negotiated at HCSC?

@b4 I sure didn't get 2 weeks for every year! I got 12 weeks for 23 years of service.

@bb that’s not legal. From what I have heard from my friend who is a lawyer I have 45 days ti review and sign it which is why I was asking the bonus and floating leave questions because the later them not paying is something everyone should raise an issue with. They purposely led the employees to use PTO by their stupid carry over policy so then they didn’t have to pay them out. They are already pocketing our bonuses everyone getting a package should fight back on their wellness days bring paid atleast. Also is it possible to even push back on retro bonuses or do we have a claim if they don’t pay?

@bb this is terrible. I was let go Thursday at lunch. Funny how they immediately turned off all of our access and we weren't even allowed any goodbyes but now we're sitting here waiting for crucial benefit information.

@b6 PTO is not part of the package. However, you will get paid for any unused PTO and reimbursed for any unused PTO Buy. Unused PSWD will not be paid which is heartless considering that employees hold on these days for carryover since can only rollover 16 hours of PTO.

I was RIF’d Wednesday and I’ve yet to receive the severance package as of this moment… doesn’t surprise me. They’re waiting to last minute so’ll have less time to review and get any legal guidance as the expectation is to have returned and signed on 10/2/2025.

I still don't have anything. My stress level is bad enough. I need something in writing outlining whatever canned comments they threw at me yesterday.

@b4 do you know if PTO is part of severance as there was no mention of it and or bonus? It was such a confusing letter made no sense just had weeks but no breakdown of how many weeks per year. Also the bull cr-p they put about personal days used before termination like dude how were we supposed to know because of ur stupid policy changes I was going to roll them over.

During my "release" meeting, the HR rep asked for all of my information, including cell number, personal email and home address. She wrote all of my personal information down and then today, I received a call from HR at 3:00 informing me they do not have my personal email address. Go figure

I have yet to get anything. I noted the HR person in my let go meeting and the transition support email. I sent an email to both of them and Cc'd my boss. We all might start needing to dial the main HR contact number.

This is infuriating. Can any of you get in to see your checks/external Workday or anything? I don’t know how I’m supposed to plan here without any information. Such a poor execution of a RIF from all aspects.
