Thread regarding CDW layoffs

At least layoffs are not happening (for now)

Remember why this site is here? Oh yeah... to report on layoffs. All the people yelling "the sky is falling" seemed to have been wrong. We seem to at least have some stability and can focus on doing our jobs and stop looking over our shoulders for layoffs.

@b9 Your post makes us think you like to think your input is better than the masses and tell them to quit. Why dont you heed your own advise and quit and become a group counselor. With the time you are spending on here to change the mindset of the greater numbers, quit and start selling self help books. See where that gets you with your terrible advise and input.

@b9 sounds like someone who does <$100k gp or isn't actually a seller talking. Plenty of us make good money and can see how terribly this is going. We can be invested both professionally and financially and not want to see the EC ruin a once great company.

This "leave" instead of fix it chant is lazy rhetoric.

I think I know who you are. Only a few of us know about the upcoming project. Don't say too much or you will be caught and let go. Speaking about the two departments that will be part of the folks that will be let go is political su----e. You shouldn't have told them the department names and just sat idly by.

Stay tuned. Two departments are next. One will endure cuts in the managers of the department and only keep some people in the DCs and the other will have 80 percent outsourced to India under accenture where one of the corp VPs came from. She helped intro her old company contacts to leaders.

Most of you whining about the good old days of CDW are the problems. We aren’t a small company anymore. If you were here in the pre 2020 CDW and made good money selling notebooks, great. That world does not exist any longer. Also, this is a layoff site, not complain about every little move the EC makes site. Leave the company if you don’t like it. You will see, no VAR is going to pay you serious money to sell peripherals.

The stock has lost $60 per share in the past year. Earnings have been weak for far too long and on the earnings call Leahy and Mirales said SG&A costs drove down profits.

This leadership team has only relied on job cuts to address declining profitability.

Not saying layoffs are definitely coming soon. I am saying it’s possible, so make sure you are prepared.

Layoffs in October, notifications for Dec, oldies "retiring" suddenly (btw more should follow that lead) but of course there will more, the stock did ok but that's not enough to stop any future layoffs. But it's apparently enough to hire in more SVPs,VPs to pitch a brand new GTM? really - who are these yahoos that think this is worthwhile, it sure isn't business strategy
Weren't we GTM'ing before? it's nonsense management and overhyped strategy ppt slides that say nothing

What planet are you on. We laid people off in July and told lots of others that their jobs would be eliminated by the end of the year.
