Thread regarding CDW layoffs

Stock is Tanking

How much longer must we wait before Leahy is fired? She has destroyed the company.

@b9 account segmentation. They are going to shift a lot around. Other teams seem to have a lot more insight then what they are sharing with us.

Basically the mentality of an account grows with you may not hold. Unless you have enough you might go with it.

We need to get back to our roots. Tear down the walls and let the dogs eat. No reason high level accounts should be sitting in SCC, no reason I can't work a different territory if it's sitting in house accounts. Borders for the sake of borders isn't customer focused. It's simply to keep managers employed.

It is truly painful to try to be proud of the company on the tough days when the NASDQ is down 3.5% , S&P is down 2.7% and CDW is down 4.5%. Applause to all you executives. You each deserve high 5's as the stock price is now back to where we were at in January of 2021 ,Trump tariff crash in April not withstanding. But hey, with stock-propping buybacks our market cap is even lower! This is what "success" looks like when a technology business is run by contract lawyers and boneheads from successful peers like Kohls, ADT, Sears, Bain, Enron and other great tech-industry success stories. All star roster right there. OH-Yeah. Go CDW.

CDW suxx I can’t wait to find a new role! It’s a race to the bottom for wages. They don’t deserve the Olympics or top talent from the global south. Someone should sabotage them to expose all their sh!t. If I get the chance I will take coworkers and clients with me to my next company.

@c7 The exact same scenario just happened over the last 4 years at Insight, they have gone down the toilet ever since replacing the long standing CEO. She then hired a guy from Cap Gemini who brought all his cronies over, no clue, no plan, stock has tumbled a 50% downturn.... Solutions Integrator? What kind of made up junk is that.. Think that there are some big changes in play, say my spidey senses.

We’ve seen the peak of the stock when the yodler was still around but it’s all mediocre from here

Meanwhile, the SMB middle managers continue to skate by year after year with mediocre performance while providing zero value to their sellers. Keep up the great work! 👏🏻

Good. Let it tank. This company is rotten from the inside out. No amount of lay offs and offshoring will ever be enough if the rot is coming from within.

Makes me wonder if Kumar was hired to inevitably succeed Leahy because there’s nobody internal who is qualified to run the company. The entire EC needs to go.

@df "The rigor cometh, and that right soon." - been hearing the same, going to be an interesting 2-3 weeks, let's see if has any teeth to it.

@eq values people? Please. Never.
You know why they hire fresh people out of college to "sell"? Because they know they will not ask questions and they can mold them as sheep. Value, moral, integrity is nowhere near in their vocabulary. They gaslight "you" as a bonus. Ridiculous.

@c7 Interesting point. Do you really think there’s a chance CDW gets acquired and turned around by someone who actually values people and not just profits? Because if Mukesh or someone from Slalom is all they’ve got, I’d rather see an outsider with guts take over and clean house.”

@c7 that's a terrifying (but very real) potential. Now that we bring H1b visa some tightness, we would have a foreign born CEO take over an American born company? That means sales will be offshored too just like the sales reps Arrow has. Everything will be done for the greater good of what this company was not set to build. What a disgrace- and I am an expat- so anyone can keep their feelings of equity to themselves. To the white man over 40, kiss your job goodbye. Sales included.

@bp The board is making a move. They hired Mukesh obviously to take over. He’s literally the only EC member who has any experience, making him the only potential successor. I mean who else? But he needs to prove himself. Mark my words- he is CEO in 2 years or less if he has any chops at all. He’ll probably hire his Slalom buddies and they will try to transition CDW into a system integrator.

It’s blatantly clear that Wall St. has no confidence in CDW as the stock is severely under-performing the market.

The poor sales for 2+ years, terrible returns on the acquisitions, limited margin growth and a complete inability to demonstrate a a turnaround strategy all falls on Leahy, the EC and the board.

It’s well past time for changes at the top.

My decision to sell at $210 to finance the remodeling of my kitchen was prudent!

Next estimate earning date: oct 29.
They will definitely restructure segments, small customers will need to be self-sufficient.
I anticipate (based on that), changes right before or after, and then quarterly meetings are planned for early November. I don't see Leahy being kicked out, she can find an excuse for every wrong turn I am sure. She is prob just a useful pawn anyway.

What significant changes are expected to impact sales, and does anyone have insights on this?
