Since people working in Charlotte were told to work from home Monday, does that count as one of our in office days? I had appointments scheduled midday Thursday and Friday since I was planned to work from home and there's no way I can make 8 hours in office those days.

Last Monday was again not counted as an in office day in the latest report. If you stayed home as instructed and only came in 2x each week, congratulations, now you are two days short to be "compliant".
I asked my manager via email and was told it would count as an in office day.

It’s managers discretion. Plus locations are just not comparable. Comparing Texas, charlotte, and the northeast is unfair and plain wrong, which is why it’s manager's discretion.
Some dude in NC said he had a check in on workday last week due to missing 3 days. I’m in the northeast and have no check in because our weather was presumably worse and my manager knows this.
If you had minor weather disruptions and your manager knows this, and you still only went twice, then yeah that’s a problem and on you.

My manager said he interpreted the email as I did. That both of the Mondays the email said it would be a “relaxed” policy and it won’t impact your in office adherence count as an in office day. When they sent the email stating to return to normal that’s when it officially went out the window. I almost lost control of my car driving through a sheet of of ice the following Tuesday so sc--w those a$$holes for not giving us another day. And they can f*ck right off if they try and come at me for only being in two days after sending that email. I’ll shove their emails in their face but I’m honestly not anticipating that to happen.
Wow, some of these comments are rude and snide. A site closure due to weather, does not count as an in-office day, unfortunately. I am on the 3/2 schedule and am an hourly employee in TX, so I don’t know if it’s different for other schedules and salary vs hourly situations.
The office is the only thing that matters to the firm. Get in, no matter the circumstances. You're an adult who can't make decisions themselves. The control is it off control.
It shouldnt count. Any of you ever hear of a weather forecast? You only had a week to plan accordingly and make arrangements to adjust schedules and get the required number of days in office.

As I stated in another thread, many people stayed home on Monday as instructed and later in the week went in 2x. However, the report didn't count the "snow day" as an in office day at all even when the emergency response email had stated clearly that a "relaxed" in office enforcement would be in place. This past Monday was a second "snow day" for folks in Charlotte and you bet they will "steal" another day from you as they did last week. I'm also curious who wrote that stupid email about "resuming normal in-office posture"? The only posture these crooks expect from us is to bend over.

I can’t believe this hasn’t been broadly communicated and clearly stated. You can’t tell me they are letting the managers use discretion when they were stone cold neutered in October with the precious in office report.
@a2 not all managers are honorable and have control issues, so I don’t see why you can’t ask here for help anonymously. They might be afraid of receiving another rude response so don’t want to check.
Monday does not count as an in-office day! Emergency Management needs to change their emails and remove “relaxed in office policy” as there is no change to the 3 day in office expectation. My manager told me to get myself into the office 3 days or take PTO. One of my team could not come in 3 days and they were called out in front of the department and made to take PTO. Those emergency alerts are a joke!

It does if they closed the site or told you to stay home through no fault of your own.
