Comment your org when you get the axe (not the email/meeting invite) - let’s keep track here so we know the extent of the damage.

@d0 the extra global is interesting as all previous reports said global was going away this year as our contracts were up and with the changes in t-life the reduction of activations and transfer teams sizes became necessary.
@br extra Global hiring is not temporary/just for this transition. The first group they hired was under the radar and plans are set to increase.
So they basically got rid of a support layer because tmobile is fu--ing stupid. We didnt have enough support to begin with and the support we did have was also fu--ing stupid cause they dont read half the sh-t you put in the chat. Now we have the same exact protocol for help with less of it. Customers are about to suffer. I will say Team Managers didnt do much sh-t and didnt pull much weight. Now they are the actual coaches. They got rid of the coach position. So now we have one manager everyone reports to and an assistant manager to each team that is there to help and support. We use two have two support individuals for night shift for example. Now it will be one. Help will take longer to get and our cpt time will sky rocket the whole time we getting yelled at to keep it down. Typical Toxic tmobile fu-kery.
For those who got laid off today is your garden date 4/2? Thursday layoffs also were 4/2. for those who are okay exiting it would su-k if you had to wait around another week or two meaning you get less freedom
Weeks.
@bk
Field tomorrow
@cb whole sites are being closed? As in CEC sites? Even though directors are sending emails out saying expert roles are safe?
Wholesale just had our “go forward” meeting
52 people got the axe, about 25%
So we have had a lot of coaches and some TMs get let go at the augusta site. The remaining coaches are going to be given a new title and there will be a new structure at the site overall. No ACs were laid off. Associate coaches. They are hourly. More will know tomorrow if they are laid off from our site. It was also confirmed in the leader meeting that whole sites have been closed. They basically told all of us that some of us are being laid off, in the general meeting, and that we would be called afterwards for our termination call on what to expect. I’m sorry everyone. No one here was suspecting it. I was because of call routing and volume and i am surprised no one else was.
@bz relocate to where?
27 coaches let go from Mission CEC as of today.
@b8 Burn! Damn
@bv No he's not. He's from Bharti Airtel, Vodafone and T Mobile (09-10 he was CMO). This layoff has nothing to do
CEO is not from Sprint. He's been in an Indian carrier and, before that, T Mobile. CTO is from Sprint, though.
Huge changes to the frontline leadership structure. The way it’s being structured will make it more difficult for experts to get support. If expert staffing levels are unaffected, but you cut a large portion of what were Coaches (now L9 Care Managers) that equates to way less support for experts, and way more work for (L10 Associate Care Managers) for less pay.
@ba Yo! They got the Cheesehead! WTF! Those bastrds!
SR. Manager position in SMRA eliminated. RMM report to Director.
@bv NO he's not.
Has anyone hear about finance?
@bw pretty sure they’ll just be announcing the new retail structure. It’s labeled as priorities and is nationwide for RAM+ (retail associate manager). But of course there may still be cuts of course otherwise.
Louisville KY Office: Outbound Virtual Business Sales Sr. Manager has been laid off, the position has been dissolved.
All Outbound Virtual Business Coaches and Reps are being told they can relocate & transition into a different position OR take a severance.
Outbound Virtual Business Chat (remote) has also been told they can relocate & change roles OR take a severance.
My position was eliminated. Account Care Coach at Jefferson CEC. 13 years tenure.
SIS here. Heard there will be a meeting on Thursday with higher ups.
Not looking good.
@bt, I would say the more accurate statement is because it new CEO is former Sprint.
Be honest yall. Do yall think this is bc the new CEO is a Indian ?
Care:
Experts are good, should see minor changes to schedules at most.
AC/Coach/TM are gone, look further down in thread for new structure. They’re working through Leaders now.
Avail is nationwide, more Global call takers brought online to give CECs breathing room during all this.
Last is speculation but anyone can check queues themselves, rest is confirmed for one site.
@b9 especially when our center helped get Vegas up and running, then we get axed.
Switch Ops hit heavily in the Midwest Rockies; half the team has been cut. Switches will be Data Centers under Lori Ames and managed by National.
@ap seems like field techs are safe for the time being
@bc Not to scare you, but if you are not asked to find a new job this week I would start updating your resume and LinkedIn. They are expanding their overseas care operations such that they will likely only need to keep a team or two in tact to handle Fed/Gov calls.
Texas area Ops: Switch cut by 1/3. No Field yet.
@bh lol
Anyone from Jeff’s org?
I’m checking to see if he’s a liar
@ba They got GMoney! Not the queen!! Those bastrds!
My Manager and one Sr. Engineer on team were affected. Under Ankur.
Technology group cut today. 1/2 the Switch team and all associated managers. 1/2 of the remaining switch techs getting moved off the network and focusing on critical facilities.
Critical facilities teams also cut.
Does anyone know what is happening to business account experts ?
@b3 Which Org, Salim or Ankur ?
NOC South was impacted - restructured managers and 6 confirmed techs/engineers got the news.
Louisville's business office hit today again it is sounding like, seems that entire office is going to be closing as all of the SDRS (myself) were laid off last week and telesales/chat are getting it today. Such a shame to see an office that carried in their respective divisions get the boot as a thanks for all of those years.
@b5 because most RF design is done in standards and all the T-Mobile engineers did was sit in meetings and look at the powerpoints brought in by ericsson and nokia explaining when and how the standards would be implemented. RF didn't get significantly touched in any of the prior layoffs. It's about time.
@az if you can say, what channel are you in?
