So now we have to sign a confidentiality and non compete document as a condition of employment annually. Funny. Never saw this before today and absolutely zero information on it.
Thanks Monique

@25f HS folks wouldn’t know Blue stuff. Heck- not sure they knew HS stuff.
@25j current class of butt clowns have been in power for years now. So why is the document needed now? What’s the urgency?
It’s a totally normal thing for B2B sales reps to be required to sign nonsolicitation agreements. Just because prior leadership didn’t bother protecting the company adequately doesn’t mean our current leaders shouldn’t.
It’s probably because some of the HS staff left to work for competitor marketing companies and started pushing business elsewhere.
That or they just don’t like you guys.
@23y oh it was under duress. The email clearly was designed to be threatening. I’m still not sure why now. Is it just a power trip for them? We know they hate all of account management.
Contracts are not legal if you’re pressured or under duress to sign.
Quick reminder from our pal Paul-
No sign- no job.
If you don’t sign it by 3/30- they consider it your resignation.
Wonderful hostile culture here.
@jd the old HCSC way- threatening with loss of job but by golly- we are not going to tell you why we put this in or give you time to do a legal review!
Either sl--e ball Paul or monjauro Monique are behind this.
@j4 except it says sign it or face termination.
@da to add to that, ask for compensation for the non-compete. HR will back down (unless they are indirectly trying to get people to leave cheaply) Essentially a non-compete is taking you out of the job market for x amount of time. You should be compensated for that risk. It is your time and money they are taking.
To be fair I haven't seen these documents and am curious their language, but wouldn't sweat the non-competes. If someone is terminated, those documents are generally not enforceable (at least in Illinois).
And if you quit since you found a job elsewhere, just don't tell anyone specifics. Perhaps deactivate LinkedIn for a while if you're nervous.
@b7 annually does seem unusual. Most companies make you sign when you are hired. I’m sure sleazeball Paul thought this one up.
@bc it’s probably only for certain areas.
@b7 seems Hcsc is always behind the curve and yet thinks they are “ innovative”
We have not received any notice like this. Did you get an email about it?
@OP why would you have to sign it annually?! Of course now that other companies are getting rid of these, HCSC starts doing it 😂
Any idea why this came up?
Was there any talent that left and actually stole secrets or business?
Guaranteed more layoffs are coming with the agreement and clauses they put out recently.
@OP now this...if your an org that wants to attract and retain! the best and brightest bad faith. Meaning dont put in place these red flags to performers either currently employed or looking for talent. Folks stay for beyond money...they stay for recognition and purpose. Also, interesting move now. So, if we lay off knowledge, we need to force who is left to not leave with the extra load.
