Not a peep yet if they will match. A laundry list have already stepped up.
The White House is watching.

Trump accounts sound like an scam where Trump supporters can donate money and that goes to Trump own bank account. LOL
No dog in this fight but it's gonna be a he-l of alot less money to fund Trump accounts than it is to deal with a .09% rate adjustment.... lol
@br that would be ideal; baby steps with this company though.
@bv 100% this
@bp JP Morgan announced full match to Trump Accounts. The next day/week Trump sued them for some cartoonish amount of billions.
There is zero soft-power in implementing these accounts. Only upshot is that unlike a 401k, a Trump Account is only applicable to people born after the start of 2025. This means companies can tout a "benefit" that like 2% of the company is eligible for, and most of that 2% are so cash strapped as new parents that they are contributing $0.00 to stock-market investment accounts anyways.
So in that sense I could see more companies do it. Financing your employees' retirement costs a lot. Financing a niche fund that applies to babies born between last year and the end of 2028 is exponentially cheaper.
@bg investment accounts for anyone born between 1/1/2025 and 1/1/2028.
The idea that a company that defunded its 401k match would fund a match on this instead is the stupidest thing I have read this week. But working at Optum, I doubt it remains the stupidest.
@b7 or better yet let’s get a full 6% match at 100% like almost every other fortune 500 does! 3.5 is embarrassing
I fear if UHG don't play ball on this 2026 is going to be worse than anyone can imagine because Trump will find a way to raise our costsand make business much harder than funding the Trump accounts....
What the he-l is a Trump Account and how can I make sure I'm never on one?
Dude you work at a company that runs death panels, cut 401k matches, gave zero raises, and want 70%+ of jobs done by AI or people on India.
Accounts for newborn dependent children are so far off in the distance for this place that they may as well be in another solar system.
Rather have that 1% 401k match back.
The White house is as useful as Goldfish in the toilet - don't expect much
