Paused, don’t have the money to pay severance. Plan B = 4 days, 8 hours to drive attrition.

@a6 for those who were let go vs those who were given until Q1 were any with the company over 20 years? Just wondering it the company is hoping they leave on their own.
@a6 me me pick me ...
It’s really interesting if you sit and think about it. We work for leadership that doesn’t want to pay for the severance benefit that is defined in our HR handbook, so they decide to indirectly push us out the door. Have we not exceeded your expectations with all of the regulatory work that has been accomplished? “Doesn’t matter, there are too many of you, get out”
@b7 same here…been waiting since 2023! They are trying to make us quit, but I’m toughing this out… also to torment the management 🤣
The only strategy at WF is the attrition strategy. Everything else is just a bullet point under that heading. Everything.
Bring it on!!!
@cp I’m waiting to see if they still send the announcement in December about exiting certain markets in 2026. If they don’t, it probably means those non hub employees can continue to work at their current locations.
So are these people being told they no longer need to relocate to a hub, but instead can continue in their current work arrangements (but 4 days/8 hrs a day)? Curious if "Paused" means temporary delay or change in policy...
All severance for 2026 has been reduced. LOBs have been asked to find other ways to cut
Attrition will be very low. Job market is not good now. So there will be more layoffs in CR.
@a6 these people are under the budget of this year. I think OP refers to those going forward.
I heard about it too. I couldn’t believe it as I have been waiting for two years for it…
AI will manage. Haha. They are feeding you lies. Perhaps top software. WF ain’t paying for that. Can’t be done anyway. They are just pushing more cr-p on existing mgrs and lots of stuff not being done
All technology jobs will be outsourced to India, and the remaining tech jobs in the U.S. will be automated using AI. If you're a people manager, your job will likely be automated by AI soon.
@a6 I am in CR and was told the same thing OP is reporting.
Think you've got your info wrong. I personally know 4 people in corporate risk who were just let go with severance due to location this week and 2 more who were asked if they would be willing to relocate because if they don't agree by first quarter of next year, they will be laid off.
