@vf not that it matters now, somewhere on this page, way back in January, it seems, someone mentioned Project Dolphin. The breadth of knowledge and access here is so helpful even if it contains more changes and bad news.
@tz project Dolphin was the March action that moved employees to Cognizant and Zensar (rebadging) and laid off some internal staff (to be replaced by contractors) as well.
@de What's dolphin?
You forget how many people work in this company outside the US? That is not legally possible in countries which are not the Wild West when it comes to labour laws.
@de Could anyone knowing about a RIF in their department, please share it with the number, if you know?
rage bait
Yea I don’t think this is true. I have been in meetings related to dolphin and there are no other large transfers planned.
Today, however, is another RIF
@b6 you mean in Jacksonville? Local employees?
@bd
Key Rules of At-Will EmploymentNo cause needed: Employers do not need a good reason or warning to end a job.Freedom to quit: Workers can leave their jobs without notice or legal penalty.Job changes: Employers can change pay, benefits, or hours at any time without notice.
They cannot threaten you with "You take the job with the sh-t company or you are voluntarily quitting". That is not how a termination works.
For example: "FIS, if you do not pay me 15 million dollars right now, you owe me 200 million dollars by tomorrow. You agree by not responding."
See how stupid works?
I just got told that’s the week we have to return to office officially, yikes
@OP no severance because they can't afford it?
Proof?
