Back in the 100B club

Our company is back in the 100B market cap club with the other seven sisters.

Seems we have righted the course?

@142 drawdown likely a knee je-k reaction to buyback cuts. The money’s back :). But I bet that was one of the core reasoning principles for MA’s exit. Long overdue. Should’ve been investing those semi-wasted billions into tangible business growth YEARS ago! We’re on the up (soon as M.O’N. cuts this ELT (thanks for the 1.6 pardoning gift, bon voyage!))

@jj so no? Assuming you’ve remained gainfully employed during this value destruction? Why are you all constantly stuck in the past when others are excited to finally see upward momentum, whilst lining your pocket regardless of the ticker? Nothing will ever, realistically, be good enough for you like that. So why bother sticking around

@b6 it doesnt matter. many longtime employees havr worked hard just to see bP become a shell of its former self due to mostly unforced errors and stupid strstegic decisions that have destroyed vast amounts of value. winning does not look like a company whose market cap drops by 60% over twenty years. bP's horrible horrible longterm performance has hurt shareholders, destroyed morale, and led to destruction of its reputation.

@b6 have you been holding bp stock for 20 years?

Yes this is an important milestone for us. It would be much higher, but we are still carrying too much dead wood on the payroll. More work to do.

Maybe consider the ship righted when market cap hits value it was 20 years ago and then a decent amount above that.

market cap was ~230 billion usd...over 20 years ago. in 20 years, xom value multiplied, bp value less than half of what it was. ship has not been righted.

It’s a good time to get rid of some company shares.

Wouldn’t count it until it maintains that level through two milestones: 2/10 & 4/1. Results & M.O’N! Right now it seems like it’s just noise
