Just wondering if anyone has any intel on exactly when the upcoming layoffs will occur?

@gt I highly doubt they will wait till March, let alone April. Maverick was pushed back to May... If anything I'd say normal layoffs will happen as scheduled in February, then a small layoff in April or May specifically geared towards the heavily involved Mav people - aka Managers/directors, lead engineers, lead architechtures, etc...
There are 22 thousand people on this project - or at least 22k who has signed the NDA anyways.. The only ones who should be genuinely worried are those who play a large role in the project.
@gt Which will 100% affect the heavily involved application managers/directors/PM's and lead engineers for Maverick... They didn't meat the deadline and JC was PI---D. I highly doubt it will affect anyone else though
Watch for “Business Update” invites on Feb 2.
Always before sales kick off.
@b8 That the same EMEA ISG team that 2/3 of my AMER ISG team spends 1/2 their shifts cleaning up after?
Will be March/April due to the push out of maverick
Yes. The Feb cuts will occur in Feb. Carry on.
Not sure but likely the same time frame as it's been the last 5 years... Mid to late Feb, with last week of Feb being the end.
I wouldn't worry too much unless you are ISG/CSG, Sales, IT, lead enineers for "PM" or full remote, though...
@b4 Unfortunately for Dell tgey gave cacked themselves into a corner. A he-l of a lot of remote workers in EMEA ISG are currently top performers and the go to people for critical issues.
No but, my guess it will affect remotes much more this time; CSG/ISG again...; Sales; and lead engineers/PMs for the "project" as they didn't meat their deadline.
I don't know exact dates, but usually happens last week of Feb March. week of march. The telltale signs will be there well on advance though. Mainly if you get no raise and less than a 100% modifier you're probably on the list to be let go.
What a sad way to live.
