@m6 I'm not in IT. Was a full org chart released, or just what everyone saw Tuesday? If not released, I can say that IT has A LOT of mid-level management and supervisors. I'd still expect more cuts and centralization at lower levels than what we saw Tuesday. I appreciate the comments about the townhall being confusing. I just wasn't there for it and can't comment or hypothesize on that. And take my comments with a grain of salt if needed. I could just be uninformed.

@bk I don't know of other units, but when I see the org chart of IT, and after listening to the recording of the IT town hall, I am more concerned and confused.
One of the things Ryan mentioned was IT will be kind of centralized.
Yet, in the org chart I see the same thing what we have today (with some shuffling of leaders from one region to another) - a General Manager for Lower 48, a leader for Alaska, one for middle east and Africa, a lower level leader for Australia and the couple of leaders for Digital strategy and enterprise architecture+ cyber security.
This all kind of looks very similar to current structure. And conveniently the questioned raised through online forum was never addressed

Golly. Golly gee. Golly gee wh-z. That’s exactly like the last time and the time before and the time before that. “Big changes! Change from the top down”, etc. etc.
Yet somehow, the same incompetent “leaders” cling to top positions while the workers get annihilated.
Yep. SPIRIT values.

Apparently Canada couldn't get rid of enough female VP's.

@bg it's always been my understanding that chopping will happen in a big way to mid-level managers. That isn't shown with these big positions. ELT is down 2 already, no one shpuld have expected more of a change there. Anyway, this is just the beginning of the structure building. I really don't know why people were expecting to see more right now.

@b4 exactly my thoughts when I saw the ELT and the Global IT ELT+1 stack. Looks like same people, similar roles. Which means chopping will happen more at a lower level.

Where is all the transformative change that was promised? Looks like the same people in the same positions that will make the same decisions that will have the same outcome.

The selections are nearly exactly who we hoped for in the Permian BU. Most of us are excited(except for the teams that have obviously lost the battle and will see large cuts and/or those teams that will cease to exist). My team, for example, is essentially guaranteed to be safe now except for one individual who is on the fence performance-wise.

Rest of the org chart won't be known until Nov 10 at best, but the writing is kind of on the wall now.

Don’t think people really care about those who make 5-10x more than they do and probably had a say on if they will be part of the transition team and/or were offered an alternate role inside the company. People care about their role and what their groups will look like. Communication like this is entirely tone deaf and only for the benefit of leadership patting themselves on the back. But hey, at least I know who to su-k up to now and who to ignore. Don’t know about you but my motivation is 0 and my faith in this company’s ability to handle change is gone.

Nov 10. In all kindness, I don't know what some people were expecting. They released what they said they were gonna release. In some instances you can see the reorg. If your boss or someone your boss reports to was impacted, you can make some assumptions there.
