@n7 Maybe it depends on the department or business line.

Maybe some people who got Rating 4 do Not get severance, while others do.

@df Jan layoffs are right after comp
discussion…I heard HR may even join the line so its the same meeting LOL after comp gets covered.

Congrats on making it to retirement, but I wonder if a package is even a better deal?

@b3 that’s what they are hoping for. Attrition without severance.

I can assure you that Jane is laughing her @ss off knowing that she’s safe and sound with her bump in pay secured and enjoying her seat on the board while the peons scramble in panic. I imagine a smirk of Bora Bora Part 2 has crossed her mind as she chuckles.

Multiple sources (including eFinancialCareers) are reporting that a new round of cuts is expected shortly, specifically targeting Markets, Banking, and Wealth.

This looks like the next phase of the 20k reduction target for 2026. No official internal comms have gone out yet, but the external noise is getting louder. Worth keeping an eye on as we move further into January.

@gk yes. You are full of BS straight out lying or just have zero idea of what you’re talking about. Only way you’re not getting a package is if you are fired while on a PIP.

Troll elsewhere

@gb do you know anyone got 4 and got severance? Please let us know. You can Google Kathleen martin whistleblower Citi or Citi firing employee with performance cause to save severance, you will get an idea on truth and lie.

@g7 another lie. A 4 does not impact your severance.

@fy 3's mean you are meeting and sometimes exceeding the requirements of your job. It means you can post for other roles, are eligible for merit and bonus and also means that if your area has a reduction in force you are eligible for severance. It won't make you necessarily safe from a layoff, but at least you'd get severance. With a 4, you get none of the above.

I got 3s. Where does that put me on things? There’s already been a layoff of the offshore team.

@dc Man I was hoping for comp day. I can’t wait till March for something that may or may not happen. Retiring in Feb. I’m set.

Crazy the amount of 4s they gave this year over the simplest Bs in my case bc a stakeholder didnt like how a call went 😂😂

Honestly…..I don’t care. Citi has made me rather numb to it all. I’ve saved up a few years worth of pay and am currently looking for another job anyway Citi can kiss my @ss.
I’m not the only one. The heavy hitters that I know are looking for the first job they can find that matches Citi’s pay (if you can call it that) and they are gone.

I agree, there are reviews happening now to select individuals who are more junior than prior cuts
