Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

Nothing is better than seeing ORCL bloated stock dump

The AI market is ORCL’s golden goose and they are betting the farm on it. Diversification is the way you survive in tech. ORCL down 110.00 from 2025 high. That means oracle clown employees that thought it was the best thing since sliced bread lost tons the last 8-12 weeks. Good. That’s what you, esp mgmt, get for laying off so many good people. The worst run company in the world. You could be be lacking 90% of your brain and be a director at Oracle. Hahahagahag

I don’t have any news on layoffs nor was I laid off. Left 4 years ago after 15 years of that circus. Useless work. OCI is done. People are just there for a check.

@jq it’s me. I wasn’t laid off. I left in December 2021. I was there about 15 years. I didn’t get laid off. I mean. Most people I know would be thrilled to get laid off by oracle. I moved on to work for a great security company. Thanks.

Op here. I love seeing all the oracle loser lifers who downvoted my post. I love getting you so fired up and all you can do is downvote. Here’s my advice. You were lazy. You trusted people you knew were horrible. Your skills got stale and well you saw tons of wrong stuff. Hate me all you want. At least I’m employed and not at oracle. Jealous.

@de wow, that’s lots of salts in just one post. Someone claims he/she left 4 years ago voluntarily but kept reading in a layoff site of the company and celebrates Oracle stock drop as “ Nothing is better than seeing ORCL bloated stock dump” after 4 years.

Oh, yeah, this is totally believable it’s not by someone still can’t get past the recent layoff and it’s as real as other posts about manager telling him news about incoming layoff schedule, receiving huge RSU (but in wrong format in the claim), etc.
/sarcasm

Larry should semi retire and help his son buy Warner bros. Let someone else take the reins, be that anyone other than that do-chebag Clay, if that happens Oracle is done

OP here. I left oracle about 4 years ago on my own accord. I never looked back. I am absolutely loving the honest comments on here aside from one oracle robot, you all have some great comments and I love that many of you are well in tuned with the man behind green curtain that Larry Ellison is. Man. Totally thankful for such honesty. I prayed for a layoff when I was working in one of them GBU’s doing useless work. I do feel bad for all that have been impacted since I left. It’s just really not the way people should be treated.

@b3 can't imagine why anyone who worked hard and got RIFF'd would be pi---d at Oracle??? What a goofy response. Of course people are pi---d. They lost their healthcare, the United States is suffering and people have a right to react to the situation. When you see SC and others getting millions or tens of millions in stock payouts and living the good life while others struggle, this is a natural reaction. Also, you're posting your disapproval on a site called The Layoff.

It's not great when the company might have issued worthless RSU instead of a pay rise.

Yahoo indicates that on Sept 25, 2025, Rothschild and Co. initiated coverage with a SELL rating and a price target of 175. This is with ORCL stock trading over 300 and most other analysts with targets higher than that number.
I think I am going to watch for any other stocks they chose to cover. :-D

Glad I sold asap after Sept 19 vesting. Part of RIF.

Now Clay has my 2,400 RSUs that would have vested over the next two years.

Decided to retire. Nice bump.

@a3 The quarterly report next month should be interesting. They need a grand slam to get the stock back up.

It may be down 110 from the high, but it's just back to where it was before that ridiculous jump to the high that made no sense to start with.
