Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

Employee Appreciation Week!

At USB that means “Nice job” today and “You’ve been laid off.” tomorrow. Fake AF managing committee and their minions.

The EAF is the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard of in my life. Let’s beg employees to help other employees in need rather than “doing the right thing” and taking a portion of those 7 figure bonuses to execs to fund the thing. No, we need some teller’s $50 bucks (a day’s paycheck) so that Becky can help her husband recover from chemo and take care of her 4 kids at the same time.
Disgusting.

Most of the execs fight like heck just to keep their positions, how can they have time to actually focus on what’s good for the bank. All they care about is themselves. JR and EB and SB are all prime examples.

US Bank is by far one of the worst banks to work for. They pay the least and find any reason to save money by letting talent walk out the door.

Have you looked at the quality of our C-suite executives and CIOs? Half of them wouldn’t even qualify to be branch managers, yet they sit in their ivory towers, preaching to others about what needs to be done. Not a single decision they’ve made has benefited the bank. And if anyone dares to challenge them, they’re shown the door. Our executives are some of the most toxic, unqualified leaders, which explains why the bank is struggling.

@ButteredPiglet

It's the same song and dance every year. Bonuses and merit, then layoffs, then employee appreciation week, and then they'd send out the TTUS survey. They also send out the EAF funding emails shortly after bonus time. It's all gross.

IMO it's so distasteful to have an Employee Appreciation Week after the massive layoffs that happened.

"Hey we appreciate you! We chose YOU to not get laid off! But don't think you're safe from the next round of layoffs or if a merger happens! We will make you think there are no better opportunities than US Bank!"

It's hilarious that there's "Appreciation" for Employees when all the money saved on Payroll from the Layoffs will just go into AI so more jobs get cut.

We got a snazzy new beverage dispenser for the kitchen and then was reminded multiple times to thank our dear leader for providing.

A pizza party!? That's more than my team has gotten. Not even an email or note from anyone, just the corporate wide message on intranet..

We value you. Until we lay you off. And we will be doing that anytime. Our work is mysterious and important.

You would have no employees if this happened.

CIOs and their minions—go ahead and find new ways to put people down, innovate fresh tactics for harassment, and if someone refuses to bow down, get creative with your backstabbing. After all, as leadership, our motto is: 'Put ourselves first'

Disgruntled workers just quit your job and go work somewhere else. There's no point in complaining and you sound miserable. Find a place to feel appreciated and belong. Life's too short to be miserable and complain about things that are in your control.

“From March 24-28, we encourage you to participate and find your own unique ways to celebrate with your team”.

Sooo… let me get this straight. We appreciate you looking for your own way to be appreciated and will just put this post up. Good enough.

Weird because most other companies are super sincere about employees being their best asset. You'll never encounter this elsewhere.
