Are layoffs finally over?

I'm starting to see reqs open up again (at least in my org). Are the worst times truly behind us?

Companies only hire new employees when they begin running out of people to fire. The layoffs will continue.

Even though with all the news, Intel Foundry is at billions of loss per quarter. No profitable product yet. No externals customers. Intel is giving Tan's startup a large sum of money. Where does the fund come from? It is from the layoffs. Whenever money is needed, some of be laid off to give the money to the CEO.

Looking at the total jobs opening on 4/16/2026 and i say Layoffs are still not over. Even with the news about deals with Intel, Intel still has to deliver on those promises (which we all know where that leads). Intel just had layoffs in the last month, so Layoffs will continue for another 2-4 years.

Mark my words: It's Not Over!

Elon is asking where the 100 billion AI5 chips he ordered are. None of the DEI communists know where the chips are kept so they will open up some reqs for chip experts and circle back in two weeks.
