You have to see this job as just a paycheck, nothing more. Your real purpose needs to be completely outside of this place. It's a losing battle to hope the culture here will ever improve, trust me. Don't let their daily nonsense steal your peace.

"You cited all union field jobs, I’m referring to technical and office jobs. LinkedIn says otherwise. Verizon and T mo pay more and are remote or hybrid. These are facts"
Reading comprehension really ain't your strong suit?
Just skip over the management roles and engineering roles mentioned.
Compare ANY job at AT&T to Cox, Spectrum, Comcast, Lumen, T-Mobile Fiber, Frontier, engineering firms, contractors, etc.
T pays well and beyond. There's a plethora of other telecom out there other than the "big 3." That's facts.
Go in. Do your eight hours then go home and forget about it.
“ Horsesh-t. T pays well and beyond cable companies and other telcos.”

Does it irritate you, poor widdle infant? It's never going to stop so get used to it or find somewhere else to be.
This place is making me hate my life.
I still believe in "cradle to grave" employment at at&t. That's just how I was raised.
"That is false. We pay the least actually."
Horsesh-t.
T pays well and beyond cable companies and other telcos.
Consolidated Communications starts their CO techs at 20/HR and cap in the low 30s. AT&T CO techs are well above that.
Lumen has their infrastructure techs capped at 33/HR. AT&T FTs make 44/HR.
AT&T L1, L2 and L3 managers make WAY more than cable company managers.
Other telcos also contract out a lot of their engineering. Which, T pays higher than others.
Dude. Its obvious.
Quit complaining and get back to the office.
“ Pays better than most other telecom jobs out there”
That is false. We pay the least actually.
I don’t think you heard Stankey loud and clear. This is no longer a career but more of a job. In 4 to 5 years, you should be enhancing your skills and looking for another job.
How can the employees surplus stinky , does anyone know ?
Agreed.
This company used to offer a solid career to many craft folks and management alike.
Unfortunately, it's just a job any more. Pays better than most other telecom jobs out there, but any prestige has been tarnished and rusted away.
Show up, put your hours in and make a decent check. But don't buy into any BS this company will try and sell you. They'll surplus both talented and untalented.
We really are just a number to AT&T.
